Every Little Helps....
In 2011 the LJYC will hopefully move into a new purpose built superstructure facility which will house the King David Schools and Kindergarten. This will be a flagship facility which co-locates education and community provision, supported by a partnership of the King David Foundation, Liverpool Jewish Youth Centre and Liverpool Education Authority. Although this will be another exciting first, a very real risk is that there will not be a Liverpool Jewish Youth Centre in existence by the end of 2009, unless cash injections are forthcoming.
We have increased the daily fee to £5 per child which we feel offers excellent value for money given the range of activities on offer, but increasing this further would alienate the very families we wish to support within our community. This is the only After School Club within Liverpool which caters specifically for Jewish families and this is an asset which has been recognised both by the Jewish community locally and education providers in the city.
Will you pledge your support to help us keep running the After School Club as well as all other activities until 2011 and beyond? Please help us to reach that goal.
If you are a tax payer, your donation is tax deductible. Please make cheques payable to Liverpool Jewish Youth Centre.
· A £20 donation will pay for one child to attend After School Club for a week.
· A £50 donation will pay for 2 hours of professional sports instruction for a group of children.
· £100 will buy arts and set design equipment and materials which would be used during a week-long performing arts special for 40 children.
· £250 will make a substantial contribution towards the maintenance cost which ensure the buildings' longevity
